i guess it's not only indian students in australia, but also han chinese who get attacked.
how come the imperial government is really quiet? wasn't there some roman idea that a roman citizen could go anywhere, and nobody should dare attack him, lest the wrath of rome descend upon him? sort of an aswamedha yagam, i suppose.
the indian students are being attacked by lebanese and whites because they are easy prey, the han are being attacked because people think of the hordes that will follow them and take over, i guess. let us remember that china has leased some 1 million hectares of land in africa and has settled 300,000 hans there. a chinese strategist declared that they intended to resettle millions of hans in africa. no wonder (san please note), as they have ruined their fragile land, and need lebensraum. (this has been true of china all along -- they kept sending hans to neighboring countries like thailand, vietnam, cambodia etc.) lebensraum is the name of the game.
not surprisingly, the economist hasn't mentioned chinese whores being detained by mohammedan fundies in pakistan in this article.
