why? it is in their best interest to keep the country barefoot, pregnant and in the kitchen (copyright ratzy). that is the best way they can keep up their 'one man, one vote, one time' deal and keep on siphoning funds to the swiss accounts.
besides, the kkkangress have a serious problem: an inferiority complex. they just cannot comprehend that india can be a world power. they can only see whites and chinese and arabs as world powers.
i liked the jibe about the one-and-only 'achievement' of the UPA -- enslavement to the yanks on nuclear issues.
also, interesting thought on FM sm krishna being a no-op. well, this means junior FM shashi tharoor can be in his element, and i hope he does something really useful, because he is the one guy among the kkkangress who won't hyperventilate and act like a peon when he has to deal with a hillary clinton-type pushy white person.
of course, the UPA will keep ignoring the china factor, until the chinese actually pull up at the gateway of india with their aircraft carriers. sitaram and others will be at the dockside with marigold garlands.

Rajeev -- your personal friendship with Shashi Tharoor is coming to the fore again. You have to reconcile yourself to the fact that Shashi Tharoor is as pseudo-secular, wanting-Western-approval, and jellyfish-like as anyone else in the Congress. I understand that you are torn between your loyalty to him and your ideals -- but the time to make a choice is here. To the unbiased observer who does not know him personally (and has watched him in interviews and read his articles), Shashi is as p-sec, ELM, and non-vertebrate as they come.
I have had to reconsider my friendships with several classmates because of their leftist, p-sec ideologies -- the time has come for you to do the same if you want to be taken seriously on the subject of Shashi Tharoor.
