PMK to move court against EVMs

Coimbatore (PTI): PMK would move Court against the use of Electronic
Voting Machines (EVMs) in future elections, party president, G K Mani
said on Sunday.
Talking to reporters here, Mr. Mani alleged that PMK, which was not in
the DMK-Alliance, was defeated by "manipulating" the'EVMs in the Lok
Sabha elections.
This was not the defeat of PMK alone, but for Indian democracy, he
said and added that it would be better to revert to ballot paper
system in future, to avoid such "misuse."
The party would appeal to the Election Commission in this regard and
if it failed, PMK would file a public interest litigation in the Court
to not to use EVMs, he said.
