China Tried & Failed to Scuttle Deal

China tried hard to sabotage and undermine the passage of this deal at the Nuclear Suppliers Group, but failed in its attempts, due to intense pressure by the United States on member countries. India should not try to triumphantly stick out its tongue at China over this right now, as we will be trying to gain full membership in the NSG over the next couple of years. Once we're a full member, we'll be able to defend our own core interests in the same way that China does from inside the group.

OT:
S Delhi builder kills kid, wife, attempts suicide

I read the details of the news only now. The man, Mohammed Syed Abbas, apparently tried to poison his wife and Neelam, 35 [a Hindu], and two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Zenab "before strangling them to death". For his own attempted "suicide", he slashed his wrist and neck with a twin shaving blade.
Abbas had prepared three suicide notes. In the "second" of them, he "owned up to the gruesome murders of his wife and daughter and alleged that he was being harassed by one Sanjeev Sharma, a moneylender from Badarpur, from whom he had borrowed an undisclosed amount."
I just wonder whether it is possible to slash one's wrists and neck with a "twin shaving blade". If he was attempting suicide, why did he not try the poison himself? There could be something fishy.

My suspicions about the Muslim trader (above post} were right. He murdered his [Hindu] wife and child, and faked attempted suicide for insurance money: Trader may have faked suicide pact for insurance
