nicholas dirks on empire

jan 31st, 2007

ghostwriter, thank you for the pointer to this. i have read excerpts from earlier works by nicholas dirks, and he seems both very competent and very fair. quite unlike most white academics working in india-related fields. another scholar who seems to be good is ronald inden.

Kalam on why Sanskrit is important He says.."There is a need to carry out research on our Vedas, particularly Atharvana Veda, for eliciting valuable information in science and technology relating to medicine, flight sciences, material sciences and many other related fields. Cryptology is another area where Sanskrit language is liberally used."
