Eight trapped rescuers, who attempted to put out an underground fire at a coal mine in southwest China's Guizhou Province, have died, local officials said today.
Their bodies have been found at the Beile Coal Mine in Nayong County, a spokesman with the provincial administration of coal mine safety supervision said.
A gas blast occurred yesterdy at the coal mine when 12 rescuers were trying to put out an underground fire that happened on Monday, the spokesman said. Four of them managed to escape but the other eight were trapped underground.

Accidents occur almost daily in China's coal mining industry and the survival odds for miners trapped underground are usually low. China's coal mines are considered the most dangerous in the world.

Last year nearly 6,000 miners died in 3,300 blasts, floods, collapses and other accidents as mine owners pushed production beyond safety limits in a rush to meet booming demand.

Why dont the communists put up a play about this when they take their Nautanki to Pakistan ?

They take over a Hindu temple and deliberately slaughter cows in it. Any comments from Comrade "Mao-naam" Yechuri ? (dont call him Sitaram anymore please)
