I read this recently -- when China decided to focus on EVs, one of the first things they did was to upgrade their curriculum to cover battery chemistry and related areas. That's how engineers think. Self-reliance all the way.
This leads me to your previous post on India producing too many humanities grads, fertile grounds for urban naxals. What a monumental waste!
