ISRO Approached for Its Lithium-Ion Battery Tech

ISRO has recently developed lithium-ion battery manufacturing technology which has proven to be good for use in electric vehicles. They are now being approached by various industry players along with Indian govt, who want to see this technology used in the transportation sector:

Rather than Tata discontinuing their Nano vehicle line, they should try to create a lower-cost Electric Nano to bring electric cars within the reach of more Indians. Lithium-ion batteries could then be mass-produced for such vehicles at a lower price point, leveraging economies of scale.
