BBC interviews Rakesh Sharma, the first (and only) Indian to go to space:

He's 68 now - hopefully there will be other Indians traveling to space within his lifetime.

He was a Cosmonaut.. (Soyuz).
Hopefully we get our Vyomonauts soon..
