MOM Takes Picture of Mother India

From a height of 70,000km above the Earth, India's Mars Orbiter has taken a picture of the Indian subcontinent in full colour:

You are looking at the first full colour picture ever taken of the Earth by an Indian spacecraft. After reaching Mars in about 9 months from now, MOM will transmit back full colour pictures of that planet.
