Indian Left's Fear of Growth

India's Left clearly fears economic growth to the point where they have to foster paranoid delusions against pro-growth policies:

Perhaps Sen and Dreze feel that they merely ought to continue begging money from NRIs, the way an incestuous uncle chases after little kids because he can't form relationships with those his own age. India needs to get its policy and fiscal house in order, so that it can form relationships with more conventional capital markets.

The Kerala model resulted in India's only state where agricultural output fell. Sen and his ilk should be reminded that feeding the hungry requires food, not just a food-bill passed by the parliament.
