While the attitude of the passersby is shocking, the way two-wheeeler riders ride is a lot more shocking. That tunnel is clearly a dangerous place for two-wheelers. Why did the rider go in ?.
Have done an informal study where I found that two-wheeler riders violated rules, rode dangerously by a factor which was many many times than those of the favorites, viz., autowallas and truck drivers.
Yes, and the reason why that case is so infamous is because it showed how awful lack of civic behaviour is. I don't see that Indians should be racing to the bottom ("My neighbor beats his wife, so why can't I? Others walk over human roadkill, so why can't I?")
Such pathetic lack of compassion can only be seen where human life and the other man's feelings have absolutely no value. Sadly this is widely prevalent in our society.
