'Stranger to History is a personalised study of Muslim identity in different countries: Britain, Turkey, Syria, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, India. The only thing they have in common is the passion to restore Islam to what its founder Prophet Mohammed had in mind by destroying its enemies today as they perceive them, notably the US, Israel and Britain.' ************************************************************************************************************ Was 'India' intentionally omitted from the above list? And this in an article published just 4.5 months post 26/11/08? On what planet does KS live, and what does he really drink? Surely can't be simple (or even straight) Scotch. You can bet KS is going to take shelter behind the fig leaf of 'notably' US, Israel and Britain if he ever gets around to justifying his list. 'Notably,' of course, means that the list is not necessarily complete or exhaustive, but then, one would have thought that India was notable enough for an Indian... Some 'nuanced understanding,' wah janab! Progressive Secularism paindabad! |

Expecting propriety of this kind from Khushwant is completely unrealistic.
For a person who offered to be a sweeper if Mrs. G so desired, nothing much can be expected even otherwise.
His attitude towards Hinduism underwent a complete change for the worse in the early 80s.
