Hello All,
Sri Narayan Guru (1855 - 1928) was a great Hindu prophet and social reformer of Kerala. He was instrumental in setting the spiritual foundations for social reform in today's Kerala and was one of the most successful social reformers who tackled caste in India. He is credited to be the most influential personality in making Kerala achieve the highest literacy rate. He fought again many taboos and superstitions and was a tireless worker for the downtrodden.  His legacy is kept alive in London by the Sri Narayan Guru Mission of the UK (Details    http://www.sngm.org/  ).

Sri Narayan Guru Mission of UK holds a seminar on Advaita Vedanta & Vivekananda on 2nd May 2010
On 2nd May they organised a seminar on Swami Vivekananda and Advaita Philosophy. The seminar focused on the linkage between the Sri Narayan Guru and Vivekananda through the theme of Advaita.  One of the speakers explained how the foundation of egalitarianism is Advaita.  The reason why we are searching for justice and equality is because underpinning all of us is the same 'Spirit' – Advaita.
