stanford has become the center for mohammedan propaganda! this speech celebrates the mohammedan capture and desecration of hindu and buddhist sites and their conversion into mosques!
and this hindu-named alka patel is a product of harvard.
the general yank idea of india is that it is part of the middle east, not asia, and that it properly is mohammedan territory!

present:
Islam Past & Present Workshop Series
Stanford Archaeology Center
Monday May 17, 2010
12:00pm - Seminar Room
Alka Patel
Associate Professor of Art History, UC Irvine
"Loci of Pasts and Presents: Sites of Reuse in South Asia"
The illustrated presentation will engage recent scholarship on sites
primarily of architectural reuse in the Indian subcontinent, and also
discuss the integration of archaeological/art historical sites into national collective
memories. The examination of these sites will also be contextualized
with examples from other global regions for a comparative perspective, thereby
emphasizing the extra-intellectual factors at play in scholarly
discourse.
Dr. Patel's current projects both capitalize on her regional and
chronological expertise and, through collaboration with other colleagues, aim to expand it. Dr.
Patel's second book project, titled The Ghurid Architecture of South Asia and
Historiography at the Ends of the Islamic World, will treat the Ghurids (ca.1149-1215), the
first enduring Islamic rulership east of the Indus, and their architectural foundations
throughout northern India. Expanding beyond this time period is her forthcoming volume The
History and Historiography of Reuse in South Asia (ed. Alka Patel).
