why slumdog millionaire is a piece of crap

thanks to reader sri for the pointer.

these guys are like maggots -- they are reveling in, and exploiting, the putridness of poverty in the slum. and of course, like the execrable 'white tiger', that is what gets white people to say "good boy", and give them a pat on the back. but i must say that mira nair's "salaam bombay" and the brazilian film "pixote" were not pornographic expositions on poverty, which this seems to be.

did anybody see the robert redford film 'quiz show'? i think it is an under-rated masterpiece. it is a meditation on how the quiz show, a metaphor for life in america, itself corrupts people.
