incredible! james astill writes *another* story without declaring hindu fundamentalism the bane of india

jul 10th, 2008

now i'm certain the 'atlanticists' james astill is ill. here's another story by him where he's forgotten to mention the terrible hindus. aiyaiyyo! whatever's the world coming to?

the fellow is clearly a tube-light (indianism, james -- means you're slow on the uptake). the dabbawallah story has been beaten to death for years. the whole six-sigma thing is deja vu (all over again). what, scraping the barrel?

next, james astill will be writing another laudatory story on one of the following:

a. the wonderful improvements in the indian railways created by laloo prasad yadav
b. the amazing invention called the jaipur foot
c. the innovations at the aravind eye clinic in madurai

all of these have been the subject of business school case studies. james astill just woke up to them. i guess he slipped loose from the JNU crowd mothering him and got away for a few minutes. but he did mention caste and provided some disinformation about shivaji. i guess he's not wholly lost sight of his task of putting india down.

there are plenty of other topics james astill can write on and i don't think he'll disappoint us. (he may be a tube-light, but hey, he's got a plan.):

d. how wonderful rahul nehru will be as the next prime minister of india. why, he's a white guy, so naturally he'd make a great PM
e. how wonderful the current PM is as he attempts to get a huge nuclear deal out of the US
f. how wonderful sonia nehru's actions have been in the current upa-communist mating dance

He must have meant 'Mavla,' which is not a caste. Malva or Malwa is a region in MP, and certainly not a caste.

But Astill -mama doesn't seem to have any disinformation on Shivaji I must add.

SoCal, Maval/Mawal is a region in western maharashtra, consists of pune (including Baramati, Shrad Pawar's bastion), satara (Mahabaleshhwar etc. ) and part of konkan. Shivaji's first recruits were from this area. Maval people are known for their tenacity and hard work. And yes, it is not a caste.
