Way to go Rajeev. People must join hands to fight aggressors. There are enough people out there in the world who despise evangelism and religious aggression. Let us enlist their support.... Let us tell them what we know. Let us join hands with them.
I forgot to add this bit. When you post/give feedback on this article on the secweb site, please be careful. Do not offend good people by using strong words and terms!. Please.
From the article (last para): "Nonetheless, missionaries in the field remain ever optimistic, albeit misguided, about what they are doing. "I do admit our means of conversation are almost horrible in nature," admits our friend Paul, "but I suppose we are doing this for a reason." Self-doubt seems to hover in his words, but he then finds harbor in a familiar rationale. "The reason is Christ. It is honorable."...."
--- This religion believes that the ends (being saved by Christ and ensuring a safe-landing in Heaven instead of the Lake of Fire), justify the means (which is bribery).
This is the first time I am reading that they are actually aware that their means are horrible, and they still endorse it.
One more thought. The linked article should be included in all Indian textbooks. It has all the credentials. It is written by a secular non-Hindu; it invokes Mahatma Gandhi; and it talks about religious fundamentalism.
Here is one idea for NRI's. Mail the article to your respective school headmaster! (with translation if possible). Include the link.
Write to Indian English media and ask them to print this article! Each one of us readers can do that...
