Parachute Testing for Human Space Flight Program

As part of the Human Space Flight program, ISRO has tested the parachute system which will be used to decelerate the space capsule after re-entry into Earth's atmosphere:

The parachute drop was from an IL-76 transport, testing a load of 5 tonnes against an actual capsule mass of 3.6 tonnes. The capsule will be launched as the payload on LVM3-X1, the first development flight of GLSV-MkIII
