Display manufacturing shifting to China

Japanese observers expressed discomfiture with Sharp's plan to license its advanced power-saving IGZO screen technology -- regarded by some as the Japanese company's crown jewel (used in tablets and smartphones). Gaining ground are neither the Taiwanese nor the Koreans. It's China.

So basically the Japanese are selling out to the Chinese in order to undercut the Korean and Taiwanese competition.
