Young managers from the corporate world are looking to careers in politics, in order to have greater social impact. I think this is an extremely positive trend, as it will harmonize the pragmatic and results-oriented business world and the chaotic populist world of politics. Higher level civic participation by younger business-oriented Indians is something the country is badly in need of.
