it's like someone said about an inferiority complex: "it's not that you have an inferiority complex, you are in fact inferior".

it's not that india [media] are paranoid about china. the imperial-minded hans do a lot that deserves paranoia.

oddly enough -- you'd not think so from the economist piece -- a lot of folks in the indian MSM are 'friends of china'.
