I keep hearing rumors that Kaangress plans to make a move on Modi sometime during this month of August, to have him arrested. They want him and anybody associated with him to be put on trial outside of Gujarat, of course. I'm wondering what others are hearing.

Shocking; hope it isn't true. Repercussions could spin out of control.
I highly doubt that congress will do it, but then again, intelligence is not a strong suite of our leaders. It will definitely a shot in arm for BJP, if they know what they can do with this opportunity. As Jules (Samuel L. Jackson in Pulp Fiction) says, "I dare you, I double dare you to do it.." (para phrasing, of course)
Shahid Shrab!! The case is taking curious turns. Amit Shah has been arrested and charge shhet has been filed, which happens after investigations are COMPLETE.
Now CBI want his custody. Why? Was the charge sheet hasty? Were the charges ill supported?
Congressis have been openly talking of Modi's arrest soon. Is CBI tipping them off? Looks like that.
