The Little Prince and His inheritance

Here is the ugly truth about India - that it's reduced to just a family heirloom to be passed around. That's not a democracy. That's not a country where people should enlist to lay down their lives.

I'd never lay down my life for the 'privilege' of being someone's family inheritance, like the slaves who were buried with the Pharaohs as a 'reward' for their loyalty.

The very idea of such a modern day Pharaoh lording it over my mother country makes my skin crawl.
In Egypt, Mr. Gandhi has befriended Gamal Mubarak, son and heir apparent of President Hosni Mubarak. In China, he has met Xi Jinping, the man tapped to replace the country’s president and Communist Party leader, Hu Jintao.
How fitting - how truly illustrative of what we are, and what our system of governance really is.
