the coming death of newspapers

this is likely to happen to most papers - and perhaps for a reason. most people will get news from TV and buy things like magazines for opinion/analysis . beware of anyone that says it is a contagion of the financial crisis - this dynamic is now built into the newspaper industry

sadly this is not the future of the ELM in India - internet penetration is low and newspapers are going to be around a long time.

Nah, the proliferation of the blogosphere and other online sources of information mean that newspapers are no longer the paragons of information power they used to be. Their monopoly is broken, as it ought to be.

The same will happen to traditional TV networks as well.
