Black Cat Relates Events

Wounded NSG commando describes the progression of events during the Taj Hotel siege.
Gee, these guys have a really tough job. We should find a way to set up some kind of Relief fund for them, and for relatives of slain servicemen. We could link it to PayPal, etc. It's the least we couch potatoes could do for people who stick out their necks like this. Not sure how one can get some kind of useful accreditation though, so that people don't think it's a scam.

Yes, with the government giving itself & the bureaucrats a pay hike and shortchanging the soldiers this might very well be essential. The folks at Bharath RAkshak might point us in the right direction. I for one will be gladly willing to contribute.

It seems to me that even these brave NSG commandos are not trained well in conducting themselves or not given enough support or both. Was it not possible to give that Hotel employee who was taking them around a bullet proof vest? How could he just be allowed to enter rooms w/o protection? How did this commando (a Hero and an inspiration to us all) get shot when pulling the employee away? Did he not have cover?
