Here comes Gardiner Harris and his poison pen:

According to him, Hindus can do no right and Muslims can do no wrong. The nomination of Modi is a "violent start" in his view. The shrill shrieking left-wingers at the NYT really have their knives out.
Wikileaks, however, has revealed other views from the US:

yeah read this yesterday. How about calling spade for spade and calling the guy a bigot (the one who wrote the article).
The NYT has a long tradition of pissing on India and their reporters have excelled at this sport. Harris comes from a long line of shallow worthies including Constable and Bumiller, generally women; the males like Coll and Bearak (unlike Harris) have usually been more nuanced and balanced. And it has a stable of brown sepoys, from Mishra to Joseph, to add local flavor to the piss. These articles typically do not allow for reader's comments or rebuttals, and when they do (like with India Ink) there is active censorship to keep the cesspool from being drained. I tried to rebut the one-sided yellow (brown?) journalism covering the Muzaffarnagar riots by providing links to the Jolly Canal massacre that preceded the riots, but the powers-that-be behind India Ink prefer trite poisonous sepoy comments like, "so much for India shining" or "cry the beloved country"!
Barbara Crosette... how could I have forgotten the grande dame of yellow journalism writing for The Gray Lady!!! In any case, Mediacrooks has a great take down of the Incontinent Gardiner: http://www.mediacrooks.com/2013/09/imported-garbage-from-new-york-times.html
Clearly the partisan hackery in the NYT has ruffled a lot of people.
