Namaskar,

1. Is The Notion Of 'Yoga Injury' Tenable? by G S Sahay, S Bhalekar, R S Bhoglal. Courtesy Kaivalyadhama.
Abstract - ‘Yoga Injurythe term in itself is misnomer. Since, asana has often been taken to mean, rather unreasonably, a kind of physical exercise, we have started using the term yoga injuryjust we use the term sports injury. The Authors, through this article, have asserted that the violation of basic principles of yoga practices may alone result into some contra-indicative effects that are often termed as yoga injury. In modern days, the reported incidences of so called yoga injury, allegedly resulting from Hathayogic practices, are ostensibly due to violation of basic principles of Yoga.’ http://www.esamskriti.com/essay-chapters/Is-The-Notion-Of-%60Yoga-Injury%60-Tenable-1.aspx

2. Arya Samaj and DAV Movement: Educational and Social Dimensions by Dr Satish K Kapoor – ‘After the demise of Swami Dayananda (October 30,1883) it became imperative to continue  his legacy not by constructing a memorial in stone and mortar  but by  venturing into the domain of education  to  root out  illiteracy   of mind and soul. The establishment of Dayanand Anglo Vedic College Trust and Management Society (popularly DAV) three years after  his  death  marked the beginning  of   DAV movement  aimed at   crystallizing his social and educational ideas. In its 125 years history DAV has proliferated into rural, urban, semi-urban, slum and tribal areas in almost all parts of the country except Kerala. Its network of  715 institutions include  schools etc.’. Swamiji was born in Morvi Gujarat.
