"Knowledge Park" imparts lessons in land loot

  • The 8,848 acre Knowledge Park is dubbed as the biggest 'land loot' that took place during the YSR regime. The park was to set up an aerospace & defence cluster, education & innovation hub, logistics & free trade warehousing zone, agro food science & technology park, a heritage wellness village, health & wellness cluster, media & entertainment city and a global village along with a health R&D facility and universities. What surprised many is that LKHP fraudulently shifted the ownership of the land to another company, which is not even an associate, which later pledged the land with various banks and raised huge funds.

  • Enforcement Directorate to take over Jagan's assets. The adjudicating authority, set up under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, has confirmed the attachment of Rs 122 crore worth assets in the Jagan assets case and Emaar case effected by the Enforcement Directorate last year.
