Malala Yousufzai Tweets on Delhi Rape Handling

Malala Yousufzai, the young 15-year old Pashtun girl who's undergone a strenuous medical ordeal of her own after surviving being shot by Taliban, attacked the Indian govt's decision to move the rape victim, by tweeting:
"The rapists dumped her on road. The government dumped her in Singapore. What's the difference?"

Well, considering her own government dumped her in Britain and would prefer that she stayed there - more to protect her from her own people, that tweet seems to be a little presumptuous. It looked like the Indian government panicked when it looked like the rape victim wasn't going to survive and wanted to give the appearance that they were doing everything possible to deflect the people's anger. It is the classic Congress move; elitist indifference in the beginning (let them eat cake) followed by populist attempts to overcompensate (cake for everybody), which their echo chamber in the media is guaranteed to sing in praise.

Happy New Year to Nizhal Yodha and all the other contributors of this blog. It is a very informative site but a little difficult to navigate and comment on.
