Dear Colleague:
For close to a year now the NSRCEL has been running a workshop for entrepreneurs on the first Saturday of every month. The workshop is typically for half a day on some topic relating to starting up or growing an entrepreneurial business. The standard format is an Anchor Presentation by an IIMB faculty followed by a panel discussion with eminent industry professionals / entrepreneurs.
I was not sure if something of this kind might interest many of us as academics. But I have been hearing lately from a few colleagues that some of them may like to be informed about these workshops. Hence this announcement. I will make it a practice to send it every month from now on.
My apologies to those of you who may not be interested in these announcements.
Registration is not required for members of the IIMB community
Best,
Sabari

Innovation For Start-ups
Saturday, Nov 10, 09:00 to 13:00
This new economy is led by those who innovate – create, find and/or combine knowledge into new products, services, and distribution methods – faster than their competitors. Innovation is above all spurred by entrepreneurial action, aimed at creating value through the application of knowledge.
What is innovation? What are the different types of innovation? Which types of innovation are most important for the success of your enterprise? How do you capture the value of the innovation that you do? How do you build a culture of innovation that will sustain your company in the future?
Do drop in to get insights into innovation at Start-ups from the interesting speaker, Prof. Rishikesha T Krishnan of IIMB author of From Jugaad to Systematic Innovation: The Challenge for India .
