Apologies about the origin of this graph; I think it was probably on imgur web gallery or possibly on Graph Jam. But this made a lot of sense to me to share it with a wider audience.
richard lynn is an example of western science and his work ranks right alongside climate science. he interpolated the iq of entire nations by averaging the iqs of neighboring nations! he did this for 104 of the 185 countries.
1. The IQ numbers may not be credible as they are probably from "IQ and the Wealth of Nations" by Richard Lynn and Tatu Vanhanen. 2. The best fit would be a curve so it log-linear correlation if any. 3. The data scatters more towards high religiosity, i.e. displays heteroskedasticity. (I cannot pronounce that word.) If any inference can be drawn it is that the more the religiosity, the more difficult it is to predict intelligence from it. 4. From visual inspection, correlation may be ~0.7 so coefficient of determination may be ~0.5; so not very high. 5. Even if there is high correlation, which there does not seem to be, what matters more is the slope of the line/curve which is flat when points are close together and starts to go downwards when points get more scattered.
Overall, the IQ numbers may not be correct and even if they are there seems to be no significant correlation.
i don't believe this. i couldn't find pak on the chart, but according to their hypothesis, paks would be (being the most religious), the dumbest people around. but they are not. crazy bigoted maniacs, yes, but not dumb.
and poland and italy have high IQs? these are the highly pious butt of dumb-jokes in the US. the fact that there are polish jokes and italian jokes implies there was some reason for them being considered dumb; it is not out of pure malice that people make jokes about certain groups. and they are religious (ratzy and the previous fellow whatshisname woytja or something are/were related to italy and poland).
The IQ data from this graph and from other studies seems to show that most of Africa is retarded. This is just not possible and the prevalent research is clearly malicious. This is apart from the fact that IQ tests themselves do not mean much.
this is a spurious correlation. A correlation like malnutrition ==> IQ reduction ==> religioisity is probably more accurate by the way what does religiosity even mean?
