I have serious doubts about whether US will dump Pak for India. See, India can never be a good poodle like Pak. And Pak I believe has been a fine enough poodle... as good as any 'sovereign' country can be. US is not looking for partners but poodles and why should it do otherwise.
One more thought I had... its pretty half-baked... might not be able to withstand rigorous 'questioning'
See, most of pak is inhabited by people whose ancestors sold out to the devil (arab and persian invaders) so to speak... India on the other hand is inhabited mostly by people who resisted them... including the punjus and sindhis whose ancestors would rather die than sell out to the devil. maybe that defines the basic diff in character... reminds me of this comment in 'Good Night And Good Luck'
