A new World Bank Report titled 'Social Protection for a Changing India' will be launched in New Delhi on May 18th.

This report presents a first comprehensive review, by the World Bank, of the performance of India s key anti poverty and social protection programs, including the Public Distribution System, Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee scheme (MGNREG), Indira Awaas Yojana (IAY), Swarnajayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana (SGSY) and others.

The findings of the Report will be shared with the media by Lead Economist, John D Blomquist. The World Bank Country Director Roberto Zagha will also be present at the launch.
