it was obvious from the start that the cost of the Bill of Materials would be much higher, perhaps $100. there is obviously no way you can sell that for $35 and break-even. the best price you can sell it for with no margin would be about $250, which is not that different from what a netbook sells for. we said so here when the issue was brought up.
kapil sibal was doing smoke and mirrors. that seems to be his role in life in UPA 2.

I told you so! Anyone who comes up with a solution to help the poor is a fraud looking for government money or funneling funds from the World Bank. Three examples: Simputer, Negroponte's computer and Kapil Sibal. Each time I heaped scorn on it, I have been told that I was cynical and that the government is what saves people.
