Lady doc held for swindling Rs 7.5cr tsunami aid fund - Church funds used for buying luxury cars

oct 11th, 2009

i guess, "join christism and become a big-time thief!" is the war-cry of the missionaries.

there will be similar stories galore about the flood relief -- after all, the UPA gave 5x the relief to samuel reddy's pals in AP as it did to the BJP govt in Karnataka.

amazed one of these stories actually made it to the newspapers. some christist is screwing up (is it tom vadakkan, vatican's PR man in the UPA?)

CHENNAI: A lady doctor and her nephew were on Saturday arrested by
Chennai police for allegedly swindling Rs 7.5 crore, which was
disbursed by a
US-based funding agency to a CSI church in Royapettah for tsunami
rehabilitation work.

Police have also confiscated two luxury cars, valued at Rs 18 lakh
each, which the accused is believed to have purchased through the
funds. A hunt is on for the doctor's parents, who were office-bearers
of the CSI church, for their complicity in the fraud.

I am glad she gobbled the funds. Had she been honest, the money would have been used for converting those who received the aid :)
