In fact, as long as America's Afghan war continues, US policy will stay hostage to Pakistan, which, in any case, will continue to follow a duplicitous policy. Only a military exit can help free US policy. Is it any surprise that Pakistanis—from Musharraf to Qureshi—are lining up to plead against a U.S. withdrawal?
