Dear ,

Rajeev Motwani's sudden and untimely death has been stunningly
shocking and has spread like a Tsunami touching every corner of the
Earth. People are mourning everywhere in Silicon Valley and beyond.
Rajeev was a gentle giant in the world of computer science and
software, endearing, helping and touching the lives of countless
people. Condolences and  tributes are pouring in from all corners of
the world.

The family is trying it's best to cope with this tragedy as are so
many of us who are Rajeev's friends and well-wishers.

The  family has decided to hold a "Goodbye Rajeev Visitation" at the
family home in Atherton on June 8 evening from 5PM -8PM for friends to
express their condolences and share their grief.

- The event is 5pm - 8pm, Monday June 8th, at home (92 Atherton
Avenue, Atherton). Visitors are expected to stay for 10 - 15 minutes.

- The visitation will be a Gujarati "Besna" style event, where friends
and family can express their condolences for a minute, view pictures
of Rajeev and sign a tribute book.  There will be seating on the
ground (on the front lawn), for those who wish to stay briefly after
expressing their condolences. No food or drinks will be served.

- The family is requesting no flowers or gifts. Those wishing to make
a contribution should please mail checks made out to "Rajeev Motwani
Foundation" c/o Ash Chopra, Merrill Lynch, 101 California Street,
Suite 2100, San Francisco CA 94111.

The family will hold a very private cremation later in the week.

A formal memorial service will take place at Stanford in the next
month or so which will be open to the public. I would let you know as
soon as it is scheduled.

May Rajeev's soul rest in peace and his memory live forever.

Sincerely,

Vish
