The GSLV-F05 mission has been flown successfully, deploying the latest INSAT-3DR weather satellite.
This was the first operational flight (non-developmental) of the GSLV-MkII, once again proving that the one troublesome Cryogenic Upper Stage now works flawlessly. One of the next milestones among the upcoming flights will be the LVM3-D1 flight of the GSLV-MkIII in December, to deploy the GSAT-19 satellite which features ion propulsion for station-keeping (ie. maintaining its orbit).
As ISRO now develops a track record in the reliable operation of GSLV, it is also looking at developing and flying further iterations of the vehicle, to progress towards a Heavy Lift Vehicle (HLV):
