DRDO developing Agni - 6

This is great news. It is a highly commendable achievement for all the Indian scientists and engineers involved in which they
can legitimately take pride.

However, a technology demonstrator is one thing - and
the will to use these instruments,
when necessary against the nation's enemy - a completely distinct matter.

Is it anybody's contention that India has the will to use
this technology to exercise the sovereign right to national self defense?

Tons of ordnance get "de-commissioned" annually by the Indian armed forces because they have outlived their
ostenible "expiry date", when
neighbouring third world countries decapitate, mutilate Indian soldiers - carry off their heads as war trophies and parade their bodies on bamboo sticks.

Therefore, the sad truth is that any equation of India with the U.S.A, Russia or even Israel can exist only on paper.

"DRDO officials said once the Agni-6 is developed, it would propel India into the elite club of nations with such a capability including the US and Russia. "
