The Stanford Center for International Development (SCID), a center at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR), will hold its annual conference on Indian economic policies on September 27-28, 2012. We would be delighted if you could join us for our thirteenth annual event.
This year's conference topic is The Twelfth Plan. We anticipate that the papers, as well as the interactive sessions that follow each presentation, will be of the highest quality.
Over the years, the conference has brought together academics, policymakers, and leading members of India's business community, and has received the continuous support of the Indian diaspora community in Silicon Valley. Continuing our tradition of hosting policymakers from the highest level of government, this year's conference will feature a panel discussion on Political Perspectives on the Twelfth Plan with Yashwant Sinha, Former Finance Minister and Former Foreign Minister; Sitaram Yechury, Member of Parliament; and N.K. Singh, Member of Parliament.
A preliminary agenda for the conference is attached, as is a registration form.
Please RSVP by September 5, 2012. Should you have any questions, please contact me at elespuru@stanford.edu or 650.724.2384.
Sincerely,
Nelly Elespuru
