Lal Jaichand Advani

The old man is putting his own ego ahead of the nationalist cause by resigning in a fit of pique.

Bhishma Pitama he certainly isn't, no matter what delusions of grandeur he harbours about himself.

I used to defend this dour gent, but his own self-centred pride now leaves him alone and isolated. I'm waiting for him to put on a skullcap like Yeddyurappa did after his departure.

Only he is to be blamed for the situation he has cornered himself into - he just thought that he would be able to run the party out of respect others have for him, because he is old and founding member of BJP. He is no Bajpayee, who knew how to live up to his seniority and exploit it in a subtle way. The fact now is that Advani is completely out-maneuvered and BJP should call his bluff this time and let him go.

Modi is clearly the choice of the people. If this inhabitant of some other planet thinks he is going to project himself or one of his elite coterie, then BJP is in for a beating that will make 2009 pale in comparison.

I am not getting out of the house to vote for such losers.
