Smartphones Have A Choice Now

While many want to see ARM eclipse x86, some of us worry about the smartphone (and tablet) processor market turning into an ARM-led one-horse race.

Well, things are changing: Intel launches its first smartphone this week. And Google announces MIPS support for Android. 


For those who haven't heard of MIPS, it was co-founded by RISC pioneer and now Stanford University President Prof John Hennessy.
