BANGALORE: Every dog has its day. Even Johny, a stray from Railway Parallel Road. His keen instinct and sharp canines brought down a chain-snatcher and helped him attain star status. Johny's heroic entry into the 'chain-snatching prevention team' on Monday was duly recorded by flashing cameras and visiting media.
The chain-snatcher Johny helped to nab was not your routine, hard-on-luck small-time thief, but 23-year-old Azaruddin Khilji, son of a college lecturer in Rajasthan who had hit upon petty theft to augment his pocket money.
This is how the events unfolded. On Friday evening, Johny chased Azaruddin when he tried to escape after snatching a chain from Chikkamma, who was returning home after purchasing pooja material near Railway Parallel Road. When Chikkamma raised an alarm, Vijay, who lives nearby, tried to nab the thief. Within seconds, Johny, who's been sheltering in Vijay's cow shed for the past two years, was in hot pursuit. He caught Azaruddin by his pants. Though Azaruddin tried hard to shake him off, he couldn't and was finally nabbed by Vijay and his friend.
During interrogation, it came to light that Azaruddin had snatched two chains in Vyalikaval. The police have also recovered a laptop and two mobile phones. Azaruddin had a country-made air pistol that was enough to scare people, if not hurt anyone.
Azaruddin, who hails from Nagore in Rajasthan, had completed his BCA from Anantapur district. He came to Bangalore and joined a network engineering course. He started snatching chains to fund his lavish lifestyle

Thats one Communal Dog. Why is it attacking Minorities? Is the dog originally from Malegaon or something?
Possibly a fatwa, anyway Muslims consider dogs as 'unclean' animals (reason - they 'copulate' in public gaze!!). Well how many pogroms by Muslims have they robbed women of their honour......Islamic invasions into India/ Persia/ Jerusalem/ Byzantium/ Spain-Iberia......the only few who paid them back in their own coin were the Mongols (who bonked them real bad!!), King Richard (lionheart),Ferdinand & Isabella of Spain..
But mind you stray dogs are used extensively against the Israeli forces in the territories (Gaza >> WBank)....So stray dogs against infidels is OK, but not against other humans/believers.
To fund his 'lavish lifestyle', for luring 'kafir' girls.....i suppose. Well, can we felicitate the dog please. At least canines are grateful....(if you compare them with A R Antulay).
A Mumbai-based man, Junaid Khan, has been arrested by the Special Cell of the Delhi police on charges of trying to extort money from Anoushka Shankar, daughter of legendary sitar player Pandit Ravi Shankar, by threatening to make her photographs public.
Junaid had purportedly found the e-mail address of Anoushka on the Internet. He allegedly tried to hack her e-mail account several times and managed to gain access.
Junaid apparently planned to extort money from Anoushka by claiming that he would make her personal photographs public.
