i think the riots were pre-planned to happen on holi, an important day for hindus.
the rage was manufactured. and it's probably instigated by shabana azmi and her pals, since taslima says a number of rude things about shabana.
incidentally shabana is wonderful at al-taqiya. she goes around wearing saris and other hindu paraphernalia, but when it came time to marry, she chose to be the second wife of an-already married mohammedan. such a nice mohammedan wifey. stepford wives would be jealous. and then the radha-sita business in 'fire': she knew it would provoke hindus, but she did it anyway.
