We badly need this Thousand Talents program. India seems to produce a lot of Amartya Sens and Abhijit Banerjees. Exchange them for professors and researchers in core technologies.
most of the indian americans are abhijit "inflaction tax" banerjee types. we don't even want them. let's get smart eastern europeans or something.
