crackdown on UPI APIs being used to harvest your data

this is a subtle way in which your financial data is being vacuumed up, when all  you offered was a payment. 

maybe UPI lite will solve the problem because it only uses a 'wallet' on your phone, and no bank account. which probably means there's not much data to hoover up. but it has a limit of 2000/- a day or so.
