"Love People, Not Pleasure"

In 2004, two economists looked into whether more sexual variety led to greater well-being. They looked at data from about 16,000 adult Americans who were asked confidentially how many sex partners they had had in the preceding year, and about their happiness. Across men and women alike, the data show that the optimal number of partners is one.

This might seem totally counter intuitive. How can it be that these very things can give us unhappiness instead of happiness? We look for these things to fill an inner emptiness. They may bring a brief satisfaction, but it never lasts, and it is never enough. And so we crave more. We can’t quite pin down what it is that we seek.

This paradox has a word in Sanskrit: upadana, which refers to the cycle of craving and grasping. As the Dhammapada puts it: “Like the monkey seeking fruits in the forest, he leaps from life to life... Whoever is overcome by this wretched and sticky craving, his sorrows grow like grass after the rains.”

Declaring war on our own basic desires, on these destructive impulses, is not about asceticism or Puritanism. It is about being a prudent person who seeks to avoid unnecessary suffering.

Insane Christist woman writes: "Yoga is Evil"

Apparently, Yoga is a good thing for the christists as long as it remains an exercise in inculturation aimed at "soul harvesting" of the "heathens". But, when it goes beyond that and gains popularity among their own people, Yoga becomes "Evil" and a "Pagan" practice! Here are some excerpts of Christist "wisdom" from the article:

But Pope Benedict XVI is not at all happy about the large number of Christians practicing yoga. Recently he gave this warning: “Yoga can degenerate into the cult of the body.”

Authentic Christians are to stand against evil, not engage in it!

Mantra meditation is unbiblical. Moreover, it matters not what Doug Pagitt has observed, yoga meditation can be dangerous.

I’ve got a couple of questions for CY practitioners. Do you really know what you’re talking about? (1 Tim. 1:7) Are you teaching yoga to build up the Body of Christ (Ephesians 4:10-12)?

For those who desire to keep in shape join a stretch class! Or take a long walk and while walking, pray! And remember, “Friendship with the world is hatred toward God.” Jesus tells us, “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.”

Consistency was never a virtue of the global church. The Hindu response should be on the lines of - BACK OFF, christist bigots. Leave Yoga alone and go back to worshipping the mutilated corpse of a dead Arab on a stick or better yet, start worshipping a freaking Hot dog on a stick.

Christist Valson Thampu in a spot of trouble with his fake PhD degree

http://www.dailypioneer.com/indexn12.asp?main_variable=front%5Fpage&file_name=story7%2Etxt&counter_img=7

The resentment of St Stephen's College teachers against Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Reverend Valson Thampu went public on Monday. Some teachers of the College, led by the Delhi University Teachers Association (DUTA) leaders, held a Press conference demanding immediate removal of Thampu and an independent inquiry by DU into the procurement of PhD degree by him. The DUTA came down heavily on continuation of Thampu as the OSD and announced to go on a dharna from Tuesday.

Coming soon to a hospital near you: Christo Ayurveda & Christo Homeopathy

See the article and ignore all the characteristic self righteousness and "morality" to be expected of the christist missionary. They're gradually realising that government enforced christist monopoly in the health care
and education sectors cannot be sustained forever. The fraudulent christist
"philanthropy" in these areas is having its back broken by the advent of quality private institutions and Hindu charitable organisations.

"Indian systems of medicine is again one of those areas where attention would be helpful. The Indian Systems of Medicine & Homoeopathy continue to be widely used due to their accessibility, efficacy and affordability. The Indian medicine system is also embedded in the beliefs of a wide section of the public and continues to be an integral and important part of their lives and for some, it is also a way of life. Complementary and Alternative Medicine or Traditional Medicine is rapidly growing worldwide. In India also, there is resurgence of interest in Indian Systems of Medicine. People are becoming concerned about the adverse effects of chemical based drugs and the escalating costs of conventional health care. Longer life expectancy and life style related problems have brought with them an increased risk of developing chronic, debilitating diseases such as heart disease, cancer, diabetes and mental disorders.

Although new treatments and technologies for dealing with them are plentiful, nonetheless more and more patients are now looking for simpler, gentler therapies for improving the quality of life and avoiding problems of toxicity. Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Siddha, Unani, Yoga and Naturopathy offer a wide range of preventive, promotive and curative treatments that are both cost effective and efficacious...."

That is, the Indian people are seeing through the christist evangelical
conspiracy and choosing non-christist alternatives for education and health care, now that there are more choices with the gradual collapse of Kaangress Stalinism.
ROTFL. Therefore, in order to stay "relevant", christists are turning their attention to things such as Ayurveda, Homeopathy etc. for inculturation purposes after the success of Christo-yoga in the West. Some kind of pre-emptive action needs to be taken to deny any space for christist inculturation in traditional Indic medicine.

Dhimmi alert: Imposter "Shankaracharya" says remove Modi

"The Shankaracharya of Puri on Friday appealed to all secular parties to bury their differences and launch a concerted campaign to unseat the Narendra Modi [Images] government in Gujarat .....Swami Adhokshanand Dev Teerth said in a statement that the evil and unjust deeds of the Modi government, which had hurt communal harmony and brought shame to the Hindu community, now stood exposed...."

This fellow is a dhimmi clone of "Swami Agnivesh" and has hobnobbed in the past with such eminences as Yasin Malik, Syed Geelani of the Hurriyat conference as well John Dayal. In fact he was also the Vatican's "Sarkari Hindu" when that raving lunatic John Paul landed up in India for the christist millenium to proclaim a "great harvest of faith". The real Shankaracharya of Puri is Swami Nischalananda Saraswati, who can at least be counted upon to NOT collaborate with 3M thugs seeking to annihilate Hindu civilisation. What kind of sick joke is Rediff playing by calling this inculturationist fake Swami the "Shankaracharya of Puri"?

Rottweiler alert: Ratzy congratulates Karnataka padres for inculturation

Arch Bishop Bernard Moras recently had the privilege to meet Pope Benedict XVI on November 14 and 17. During this meet Arch Bishop briefed the Pope about the Kristhostava-2007, which was recently held in the city. He was very pleased with the efforts put in by the church in Karnataka to make the message of Christ relevant both for Christians and non-Christians. The Pope was happy to know the pastoral and the spiritual developments taking place in the state, as well as the presence of a number of religious congregations and institutions in the region. Arch Bishop also called on Ivan Cardinal Dias, prefect of the Sacred Congregation for the Evangelization of peoples who was also equally pleased to know about the functioning of the church in Karnataka and its latest developments. He also took note of the growth of the church in Karnataka in every field.

"Happy" with the functioning of the church in Karnataka? But the bleating by John Dayal and Saajan George implies that Karnataka tops in persecution of christists among all the states of India. The logical inference being that the intensity of "persecution" bleating by the christist persecution industry in any given time frame is a good measure of the quantum of evangelical activity on behalf of the imperialistic death cult in the corresponding area.

Kerala christist lectures on "christo-yoga"

"The Yoga and Meditation Society for the Scientific Study of Spirituality announces the third lecture of its Speakers Series, featuring Mathew Chandrankunnel speaking on 'Yoga and Christianity.' .....He is the director of the Centre for the Study of World Religions at the Dharmaram Vidya Kshetram in Bangalore, India..." ..... deleted

There's another enterprising kerala christist for you with yet another fraudulent inculturation scheme. Is anybody paying attention to this infringement of Hindu intellectual property rights? Other than the dhimmi Indian media who will no doubt lionise this Bobby Jindal of yoga?
