The Indian civilization has made many significant contributions in the field of Mathematics, although it may not have been properly credited for the same.

Even illiterate Indians (with the possible exception of Congress party functionaries and Communist street thugs) are capable of doing basic addition.

There have been innumerable "major" terrorist attacks on Indian soil in the last 2 decades alone. Following is a short list, not necessarily in chronological order:

Attack on the Indian Parliament,
Attack on J&K assembly,
Delhi blasts on Deepavali eve,

Hyderabad serial blasts,
Coimbatore blasts,
Ahmedabad blasts,
Akshardham Mandir attack,
Attack on Raghunath Mandir, Jammu - twice etc.

Most of the perpetrators of these terrorist atrocities are roaming around free. Therefore, there is no point exulting over the execution of one or two terrorists, after fattening them at taxpayers' expense for 12 long years. It does not compensate for the martyrdom of our brave security personnel - nor the countless lives of innocent Indian citizens.

Besides, the executions of Ajmal
Kasab & Afzal Guru - are astutely timed, politically opportunistic moves - deliberately aimed at:
1) arresting the growing popular momentum behind Narendra Modi,
2) diluting a sympathy wave after Bal Thackeray's demise,
3) distracting public attention from grave issues of corruption,
maladministration etc.
4) containing the damage caused by anti-Hindu, anti-national statements by certain high profile GOI appartchiks

Also, these are quite eminently secular executions - no responsible individual from the Indian Muslim community outside of Kashmir has expressed support for these terrorists or protested their execution. There was near unanimous support for executing
these enemies of the nation, barring a few lunatic fringe pseudo-liberals with Hindu sounding names.

Despite the obvious political motives behind the two executions - justice has been denied due to the inordinate delay - this is a small positive development, although not something to celebrate about.

After all, it is the responsibility of
the executive, the judiciary etc to take preventative and punitive action against enemies of the state. This is hardly a superlative achievement to gloat about.

PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AP) — A suicide bomber detonated his explosives outside a Shiite mosque in northwestern Pakistan as worshippers were leaving Friday prayers, killing 23 people and wounding over 50 in the latest apparently sectarian attack in the country, police said.

Shiite Muslims in Pakistan have increasingly been targeted by radical Sunnis who consider them heretics, and 2012 was the bloodiest year for the minority sect in the country's history.

Diwali or Deepavali is incomplete without the customary humour.

November 14th is CHILLUNS day (Chacha Nehru's birthday) in Nehruvian Stalinist India.

The day was/is enforced as "Children's day" (pronounced CHILLUNS DAY by Kanngress-men) in India's educational system - calculated to indoctrinate impressionable young minds with devotion & sycophancy to the Nehru dynasty - so that they would grow up be loyal subjects!

No justification was ever provided as to why that day
was celebrated as such - just a
statement that Chacha Nehru "loved" Children (sic)! His alleged "sacrifices" for the country would be drilled into our minds - along with gratuitous references to his clothes being laundered, allegedly in Paris!!

US House Resolution Against Gujarat

Keith Ellison, Democratic Congressman from Minnesota who is a Muslim convert, has introduced a resolution in the US House of Representatives calling for Gujarat to "restore religious freedom". The resolution has been endorsed by the "Indian American Muslim Council".

Pakistan has created some fake WikiLeaks diplomatic cables, in which US diplomats claim that Indian generals are genocidal and that New Delhi supports terrorist groups in Pakistan. These cables have been found to be fake, and not part of the WikiLeaks trove of documents. That hasn't prevented the Pak media from rampantly publishing the fake documents, and crowing that their fears of India have been right all along.

The worst allegation made was that Indian Army and hindoo fanatics conspired to kill police official Hemant Kharkare in a pre-planned attack, as part of their general orchestration of 26/11.
