Put Burkas on babies: Saudi cleric

There may be a legitimate threat to the girl child in Saudia Barbaria, including 1 year olds - but is cloaking them in a Burka
any solution?

It is the barbaric mindset that needs to change.

http://english.alarabiya.net/articles/2013/02/03/264031.html

A Saudi cleric has called for all female babies to be fully covered by wearing the face veil, commonly known as the burka, citing reports of little girls being sexually molested.

In a TV interview on the Islamic al-Majd TV, which seems to date back to mid-last year, Sheikh Abdullah Daoud, stressed that wearing the veil will protect baby girls. The Sheikh tried to back his assertion with claims of sexual molestation against babies in the kingdom, quoting unnamed medical and security sources.

Saudia Barbaria

Here's yet another reason, if any were needed - to arrest "Love Jihad" in it's tracks in India.

This will become the order of things in Bharat if the "secular progressive" Taliban have their way.

By AL ARABIYA

Imagine a schoolgirl attending class, knowing that both her teacher and principal share the same husband. Awkward much?

Well, for a Saudi man who married the three women, it may just be an example of love conquering all...

Terrible tragedy

http://m.timesofindia.com/india/7-year-old-loses-genitals-after-circumcision-fighting-for-life/articleshow/17330245.cms

Extremely unfortunate accident for a 7 year old. (It would not have been half as unfortunate if
the recipient had been a Jihadi terrorist like, say Mohd. Afzal Guru)

What is the relevance of this barbaric ritual in this day and age? The savagery has origins in the harsh Arab desert. How is it applicable to India?
There should be an open debate by people of rational outlook with a goal of outlawing such barbaric practices from India.

Missed opportunities for national development

1) Roads: We have mastered the art of making "perfect roads"; great on paper and absolutely pathetic in execution. Technically, the cost of road construction (where prices are dictated by the lowest tender) are as:

a) Cost of land acquistion by the Government; usually palming off the peasants by intimidation, below market cost and illegal detentions.

b) The public money used to award contracts and tenders inclusive of the cost of kickbacks feeding from the lowly peon to the corporator and the "party funds".

c) Finally, the "inferior quality material" used by "engineers and contractors" and exploitation of the poor labor.

2) Railways: Huge behemoth. Multiple proliferating unions feeding on like leeches to the public funds. In 50 plus years has not been able to channelize the freight and passenger fares. The maximum speed (in certain stretches) is 160 kmph (for India's fastest trains) and is near bankruptcy because it has been allowed to slowly rot away under populism.

3) Refer to point number 1 for why railways are allowed to bleed dry. The Government has come up with an ingenious way of "Build Operate and Transfer model" where a private contractor is allowed to "collect toll" till 30+ years (by the time, the old files would have rotted away). There is double taxation; what you have paid in your road taxes and other "infrastructure cess" on petrol/diesel, you pay again while passing through these toll barriers. Brilliant.

4) No waterways: What could have been used to interlink the national rivers of India to develop indigenous waterways has been allowed to squander away. By creating a huge bogus claim of an "environmental disaster". No one knows the impact because it has not been allowed to develop. Now precious funds are being withered away to import Oil and pay the masters for their opulent life styles in Saudi and Middle East.

Is it even surprising that all of this spawns from the "Nehruvian model of development"? Or the huge socialist structures that have been unleashed on us by ensuring perpetual slavery to the Government of India?

Of course, no one argues about it because it has become our way of life here.

Pakistan Brokers Saudi-Iran Rapprochement

Ever in the pursuit of its interests, Pakistan is attempting to mediate a rapprochement between mutual enemies Iran and Saudi Arabia, in order to forge a more effective club for taking control of post-US Afghanistan:

Meanwhile, in related news, Indian babus are snoring as usual, assuming they will automatically be able to rely upon Iran in the event of future competition in Afghanistan.

Saudis to Intervene on Davis' Behalf

When Uncle Sam can't convince a stubborn Pakistan to give back their man Davis, then it's time to turn to the Saudis for help. After all, the Sheikhs claim to be the kingmakers in Pakistan. Given that the Saudis are increasingly nervous about grassroots agitation destabilizing their regime, especially with Iran also fomenting some of it among Shias in Bahrain nextdoor, it now gives Washington a useful opportunity to obtain some quid pro quo.

It also provides an interesting opportunity to observe which force is more powerful - Pakistani Islamic pride, or Pakistani Islamic rentability to the wahabbis down the street. For their toadying politicians, it will of course be the latter, but how will ISI feel about it?

The undeniably huge ego of Pakistani national pride will of course be badly wounded, but at least this will provide a timely reminder to Pakistanis of how much they have to be humble about.

Saudis Fearful of Shia Encirclement

The wave of pro-democracy protests in the Middle East, spilling beyond Tunisia and Egypt over into Sheikhdoms like Sunni minority-ruled Bahrain are making the Saudi govt nervous. Restlessness by Bahrain's Shia majority could well become the tipping point for a change in the balance of power between Shias and Sunnis in the Gulf.

Consequences of Egypt's Revolution

One of the positive consequences of Egypt's democratic revolution is that Pak's rear-guard support will now be put under threat. Undemocratic Arab regimes like Saudi and Jordan - the same police states which have given Pak vital financial and logistical support in the past - will now be tottering and forced to focus on domestic policies to shore up popular support, rather than lounging around and playing geopolitical chess games abroad. If these regimes topple, then Pak would literally be left with only China to count upon.

As Egypt transitions to full democracy, Israel will similarly feel isolated and vulnerable, given that a post-Mubarak govt will most likely be less friendly/reliable as an ally. As it is, there's already a problem of smuggling and illegal cross-border transit from Egypt to the Gaza Strip. With a less cooperative Egyptian govt in power, then the Gaza situation could go from bad to worse, keeping heightened tensions between the two countries even if not provoking outright war, with Israel relying on its nukes as its ultimate guarantor.

One negative possibility is that an increasingly desperate Pak would seek opportunities in any renewed Middle East conflicts by exporting its nukes for badly-needed cash and support. This would then cause more problems for the US/West rather than just India only. The US/West should redouble their efforts to get Pak to sign FMCT, before suffering a rude shock. What if Egypt bought Pak's nukes, or even Saudis nervous about their increasingly vulnerable state? Certainly arch-enemy Iran is looking to seek advantage from the fall of their hated American lackey Mubarak.

Now that the Middle East is entering into increasing flux once again, India should keep vigilant and not be caught off-guard by new developments that would work for or against it.

Can Turkey Displace Saudi Influence in Pak

The WikiLeaks disclosures seem to have revealed that the US interest in seeing Turkey's influence in Pak rise to displace the huge influence wielded by Saudi Arabia there. I think that India should support the rise of Turkey to offset Saudi Arabia, and that we can only benefit from this.

WikiLeaks on Pak Terrorists and Saudi Fund-Raising

WikiLeaks document show US discussions on how Pak terror groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba raise money from Saudi sources.

Saudis Distrust Shia Zardari

One particular Wikileaks revelation I found to be noteworthy, was how the Saudis apparently distrust Zardari because he's a Shia. They seem paranoid that he'll collude with Iran and Iraq's US-installed Shia president. They might be right, but it's amazing how that nation of stone-age tent-dwelling chieftains is able to manage their survival. No wonder they're privately screaming for the US to rid them of their arch-enemy Iran. It's a good thing these WikiLeaks are at least forcing the Saudis out of the closet, so that the international public can see the depth of their antipathy towards Iran.

Too bad the Iranians can't be convinced to give up their pathological mania over Israel, to instead simply focus on their real foes, the Saudis.

Shrine vs Swine

Swine Flu seems tailor-made to trigger the phobias of those with a centuries-old aversion for pigs and an equally old mania for group worship:

http://www.abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory?id=8153047

You have to wonder what they'd do if there was a serious Swine Flu outbreak over there.

Saudi Arabia punishes gangrape victim with 200 lashes

News alert for all the hard kaur feminist dhimmis. 19 year old Shia woman gangraped in Saudi Arabia and guess what, the wise mullahs punish HER with 200 lashes and 6 months in jail for "being in the car of an unrelated male at the time of the rape". The shroud of Turin was in Gujarat recently with her shrill rhetoric about "mistreatment of women". Would you like to hazard a guess - will she acknowledge this incident, or (gasp), even condemn it? Tauba Tauba, how dare you imagine such an abomination - Mohammedans would be offended.

Son of Abraham meets Son of Isaac

"The Vatican newspaper L'Osservatore Romano said the Vatican hoped the meeting with the Saudi king would produce a frank dialogue on Christian worship in the country, noting that there are more than 1 million Christian guest workers in Saudi Arabia."

How many of those 1 million christist guest workers might be kerala christists I wonder? Such semitic synergy is the wet dream of the John Dayals and Dinesh D' Souza's of this world. It should be a cause of concern to all people who cherish freedom and peace.
